We bake round cake here at Tea House HQ, but fancied a little change this week. A change and a recipe for all you baking mad tea lovers.
So here we go:
100g Softened Butter
175g Caster Sugar
2 Large Eggs
2 Ripened Bananas, all mashed up
225g Self Raising Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
2 Tablespoons of Milk
1 Jar of Nutella
Preheat your oven to 180C/Fan160C/Gas 4
Grease your loaf tin with a dollop of butter and then line with parchment paper. I tend to use a bottom piece and a 4 separate pieces for the sides.
MASH, MASH, MASH THAT BANANA!!
Now pop all of the ingredients, MINUS the Nutella (we ain't ready for that bad boy just yet) and beat together for 3 minutes.
Spoon half the mixture in the loaf tin and add a little, rough layer of Nutella. Then, on top add some more mixture - nice and steady with the pouring.
Pop this little beauty into the oven for 1 hour.
Once baked, leave this treat to cool for about 30 mins if possible and then coax him gently out of the tin. Peel of the parchment and leave to fully cool, if you can resist.
We drizzled over more Nutella because, why not??
Then you can can slice away!
All you need now is a lovely cuppa and to gobble this down.
Happy baking x
