If anybody asked me what my ideal job would be, it would be eating and writing and then maybe eating a little more. I am one lucky burger to be invited to a fair few foodie events in my area, as guys, it is super small so these things are quite rare. When Megan asked me if I wanted to mate date the shizz out of a Wednesday night I was game as a badger. Especially when I found out it was the brand new Caribbean Turtle Bay that had just opened up in town.

I always like something to look forward to to spur me on in life. My friends have been telling me to take more time for myself and I have been trying my god damn hardest to, so when Gisborough Hall invited me to spend a night to celebrate being flirty & 30 I thought why the devil not.

Then before I knew it I was 30. Dirty, flirty and ready to venture on with the next chapter of my life. Reading back over last years birthday post this made for quite an interesting reflection, with so much change and new adventures to look forward to. It is pretty obvious I love a good candle. Sleep and sleep themed things rank quite high on my birthday present agenda too. I mean, come on, who doesn't love sleep?!

So here I am, sat, letting the smoggy sunny Boro rays enter my heart on the the second sunniest day in March has had to offer and I am having a blooming blast. Ignore the gale force winds that come with this and the fact that it keeps raining since I have typed up this post but you get where I am coming from.

There is something about this weather, the sunny part, that makes me feel a million dollars. Even if I do host the nickname 'Casper' and I am practically transparent like a little jellyfish but I guess, it is what it is.

Happy Birthday month to me. Is it just me or has this one blooming flew by?

I can honestly say I have been welcoming in this month with open arms. The first day of Spring has sprung, but last week we were lucky enough to have a sneak peek of what this season has in store for us on the weather front.

What better way to start celebrating being flirty thirty than a little trip to Rockliffe Hall to get pampered? You all know me by now if you follow me on Instagram that I am an utter Boro loving girl so heading up to Hurworth where the Middlesbrough Football Club Training Ground is was no hardship.

I have been craving my pale skinny ass off for a Sunday Roast for the past few weeks. Like I mean a real good one with all the trimmings. One with Yorkshire Pudding's the size of my face and a variety of vegetables that makes me go weak at the knees.

After a little peek online here and there I was quick to snake eye that The Curing House were seriously upping their Sunday game in the form of roasting on a blooming Sunday.

It was my Mama's big birthday last week and I wanted to really treat her. She will not allow me tell you her age as she likes to play the 'guess my age game' and I don't blame her to be honest. She doesn't half look good for her age and if I look like her when I am 30 years off 100, you do the math, I will be doing the Macarena like it is going out of fashion.

Not a year goes by without a couple of trips back and forth to our capital. I blooming love it. I used to live there for a short spurt of time and it just wasn't for me to live in the city. I am small town girl but nothing beats packing a suitcase full of knitwear, grabbing some train beers and heading down the east coast to soak in some city life.
