CATTLE & CANE TEA BLENDING

We are all excited to be tea-ming up with the amazingly talented Cattle & Cane for the launch of their hand blended tea - right here in tea house HQ.

Now everyone loves a good cuppa and we thought what better way than to get these guys down for a little session and have a chin wag over a brew.

Helen and Joe stopped by one morning to get the wheels in motion. And oh what fun we had as we got down to business.

These guys love a bit of spice! A great start to work on what type of tea they prefered to blend up. I played teacher for a while and gave these guys a crash course in all the different types of tea we have in store. Black, Green, Red, White, Fruit Infusion and the list goes on. It was decided that a black infusion tea blended up by themselves would be the best shout. A little something for everyone.

We took a base of Cinnamon and they sniffed their way through our delights, Massala Chai, Christmas Tea, Cinnamon, Mocha Chai, Apple and Cinnamon - but is was Spiced Orange that set the bar.

As the tour for Cattle & Cane's debut album 'Home' kicks off in their hometown Middlesbrough at Teesside University on September 18th 2015, this spicy autumny flavour was a great decision.

Anyway back to business.

Ginger Root, one of our newest herbal teas kept popping up in deciding blends. This light root gives a real subtle undertone to the spicy orange and lights up the black tea - we blended and they liked.

Wanting to make things a little more exciting, Helen asked to have sniff of some more our newest teas so I handed over a few more of our fruiter black teas which she loved.

They did decide on two blends - one being a top secret tour special, so stay posted.

A delish coconuty flavour with hints of rum, ginger and spiced orange is what this best selling tea is all about. We sold out of all of it when they launched the tea in store last month - but HURRAY it's now back on our shelves.
