We are getting there and next week will see nearly all of the decorating finished, to then leave us to put everything in place and scrub up them floorboards.
The ceiling was painted first and brought so much love to our hearts. The tea ladies danced and were elated that finally we have some paint going on them walls...or ceilings... ok maybe both.
Our lights are up and we can't wait to get some shades for them. Just a little bit of light makes us feel all warm inside.
The snug room has been quite straight forward and paint has been lathered on them walls.
I have huge thank you's for the wood chip drama! Thank you Peter for the stripper and the words of wisdom that were 'Ohhh wood chip - will take you twice as long. Good luck." And John - Thanks for striping the majority of the main room.
I will save the rest of the thank you's for our opening :) I know I said I would give all you lovely lot a date but I am just not ready yet. I feel like I am putting super pressure on myself, so come on let me off, it own't be long now. I will tell you next week. Promise.
We choose burgundy as our main colour as that is the brands colour. This burgundy one is a little more red. I love it. It is so warming and goes really well with our off white contrast on some of the other walls.
The wallpapering should be finished next week and all of the radiators should be back on. A huge cheers to heating - bring on the winter and bring on the cosyness.
Our window display designs should be finalised and we can work away at them next week too.
Thank you so much for following us on our journey. You lot sure do like our renovation project and we have just hit over 16,000 page views! You guys most certainly need a cup of tea on me.
What are you excited to see in our new tea house? Don't be shy leave a comment, I love to chat and see what you guys think.
Happy Week 6 x
