WEDDING FEVER

With two weddings down and another two to go my phone is stacked up with photos that really capture what life has been like lately. Two sets of best friends decided on taking their vows this summer. The weather forecast looked extremely shady for them both. However, they turned out pretty darn spectacular!! It was an honour to be there and watch them start their new married lives together.

Mr and Mrs Burton has their wedding in a little barn out in the countryside, just off a typically English winding B-road in a little place called Busby. It was great. The wedding favours - a sweet little succulent - were potted by their own hands, and helped make this wedding extremely personal. Fantastic coloured paper crafts were hanging throughout the barn and ribbons hung from trees. It was like being at a mini festival with all your friends, drinking cocktails, eating pulled pork, dancing the night away next to a huge stacked fire.

Mr and Mrs Hynes were also married outside. This time in the grounds of Stainton Manor, a great big house that ours was ours for the entire day. I was asked to be a bridesmaid for Gemma and Matthew's special day, of course I agreed, knowing she would need all the help she could get for this crafty wedding, full of bunting and fairy lights. I didn't mind getting involved with the all-important hen party either!

It was great to see this wedding start as a field with nothing in it to a full-blown wedding venue with 150 guests eager to get the party started. Gemma really did a great job getting everyone involved by bribing us with BBQ's and ice-cold beverages. It made us all feel so proud to have created such a wonderland.

We were up at 7.30, unable to contain our excitement anymore, and enjoyed a Prosecco breakfast. We arrived to the house to be greeted, in our hair curlers, by Mark the lovely photographer. He really captured the day with us stuffing our faces and enjoying a few glasses of fizz.

It was a pleasure to start this summer off with a bang - so here's to the next two super weddings heading our way. X
