I could not go to Rome and not pop in a foodie post now could I?
Enoteca Trastevere really did blow our socks off. We visited here a couple of times to get plans together, charge up batteries and celebrate Tea Lady Pennies birthday breakfast with a cocktail or two.
First up was to sample the famous Aperol Spritz of course.
We kicked back in the sunshine connected to wifi, because if we don't Instagram it didn't happen right? Oh, and Pennie is a social media queen!
We sipped on cocktails and mulled over the menu watching the Italian world go by.
This place is the utter cutest.
Inside was pretty special too. Walls filled with the finest Italian wines and miss matched tables and chairs really made this place feel a little like home.
This place is cute small with about 6 tables inside. Two window seats which we of course grabbed to people watch over the patio which is huge. You can sit under the canopy all warm and toasty and eat and drink till your hearts content.
The service was great with even the offer of dancing with the waiters in the evening. We kindly declined as we needed our beauty sleep and rest our tired trotters after the 30,000 steps we racked up in just one day. When in Rome!
Enoteca Trastevere is situated in my favourite area of Rome. Quoted as the most charming neighbourhood, Trastevere is a must to visit and get lost in if you ever get the chance to explore.
Stay posted for a Trastevere post soon. I made so many memories wandering these streets and losing all sense of direction.
Getting lost on the cobbled streets is exactly how we found this little gem of a place. Some people call it being lost but we called it fate.
Look at how cute the outside terrace is?! If I could pick this up and take it home to be right outside my shop I would. The wooden crates, green leaved plants, flickering candles and the miss matched furniture was right up my street.
All this talk is getting me hungry. Let me show you the show stopper that we had as a 'snack'. This 'snack' filled us right up until supper time. A bruschetta platter with some mouth watering toppings such as sun dried tomatoes & cream cheese, olive tapernade and cream cheese, brie & pear, mozzarella & pesto and plenty of ripe baby vine tomatoes.
I literally think I just dribbled down my dressing gown while writing this. Gone are the days where I could chow down on a good old bit of crusty bread now I have a face full of brace. I am so glad Rome happened before these train tracks got put on otherwise I would have been a very sad girl.
The cocktails were delish and so was the beer.
So, if you do happen to book up and have the chance to explore Rome make sure you stop by here.
You can find Enoteca Trastevere on Via della Lungaretta 86, 00153, Rome Italy.
Maybe you will be able to take up the offer of dancing for us.
Ciao bella.
